That’s easy, book a ticket online http://www.busonlineticket.com/ or go and buy it on the same evening. The night bus will coast you 45 Singapore Dollar. My night bus from Singapore to Cameron Highlands was almost empty. Take some warm clothes with you otherwise you will freeze like me on the bus. I just had my jacked and bath towel that was clearing less on a bus with 18 degrees Celsius.
Where did I Stay
I booked a single room at “Father’s Guesthouse” online over TripAdviser for 15CHF. For the second night I changed to dormitory with 8 beds. (5 CHF/ Night).

What did I do there?
The main attraction are the Tea plantations so these you could explore by trekking or with a half day tour. These tours are located in the north of Tanah Rata. It includes a visit to the highest mountain close to the Mossy Forrest and the Boh Tea plantation. After this trip ask the Driver to drop you of at Birnchang. This tour costs around 70 RM. In the afternoon I visited the Sam Poh Temple and walked back to my guesthouse following route 4.
For trekking you can choose multiple routes. I did route number 5 and 7. It is advisable to wear long pants and watch out for ticks. I went during the morning because many people told me that it will usually rain in the afternoon. I was lucky my days on Cameron were rain free.
